Recital 2025
Friday, June 13th & Saturday, June 14th
Reminders:
Don’t forget! We have “Rehearsal Week” beginning Saturday, June 7th through Friday, June 13th. Please be present in your dance classes all week long! We prefer dancers wear their costumes to class, it’s a good idea to practice in it before our performance!
Friday, June 13th
Mile High Dance Center presents their first ever Wizard of Oz Ballet! This show will take place on Friday, June 13th at 5:00pm at Aspen Academy. We can’t wait to celebrate this performance with you!
Dancers - don’t forget about dress rehearsal on Thursday, June 12th and tech rehearsal on Friday, June 13th both taking place from 10:30am - 1:30pm!
Saturday, June 14th

Join us at Aspen Academy for our two show performances!

Venue Location & Arrival Notes
This year’s show will take place at Aspen Academy on both Friday, June 13th and Saturday, June 14th
· Dancer call time is 30 mins prior to the show starting. We will not take students backstage any earlier!
• All performers should arrive ready to perform with hair and make-up done. Dancers should be dressed in their first routine’s costume. (Minus their shoes – dancers may wear their shoes for photo opportunities but have a pair of “outside shoes” for walking in and out of the building.)
• Dancer drop off will be located in the theater lobby at the bottom of the stairs.
• All dancers will utilize the downstairs dressing rooms. Parents are allowed to come into the dressing rooms to help them set up their items quickly before the show. If you want to be allowed inside the dressing rooms during the show, you must be an official volunteer.
• Company dancer parents - Make sure your dancer is prepped ahead of time on how to set up their items/dream duffels.
• Dancer pick up will be at the bottom of the stairs at the check in/out table. More info will be sent on this when it gets closer but please be patient and do not swarm the check-out table!
• Company dancers will be released directly into the theater lobby – please be patient as they have a lot to carry and there is only one elevator! If any company dancers are performing in both shows, they are allowed to leave their items in the dressing rooms during the break.
• Non-company, recreational dancers will only be allowed to bring one bag with them to the recital which will be provided to them. If their items don’t fit into the bag, then please don’t bring them! We will have plenty of activities, movies, and games to keep kids occupied back stage! Everything you bring must be labeled with your dancer’s name. Lost items are not the responsibility of MHDC.
• A professional will be recording the show. All digital files will be emailed in early July with downloadable links.
Hair & Make Up
Hair Styles:
All dancers who are in combo style classes (ages 8 and under!) can choose any hair style they would like as long as you pull the hair away from the face! Feel free to use the provided bow if you would like! Any dancers who are in level one classes and higher, we ask that you bring your dancer in a low pony tail with a center part. Here is a video tutorial in case you need help! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ez1cXfJUPCo
Company dancers should have their hair in a center part, low pony. Hair should be straight.
Make Up:
Make up not required for your dancer but definitely recommended! We suggest a light layer of powder or foundation, a rosy blush, a neutral eye shadow, mascara and a light pink lip! We want them to feel beautiful for their special day!
